Maelstrom (U)
Technique used by the Dark Archons to temporarily stun a group of adversaries. More effective against larger groups of adversaries.

Once each turn, plays at the start of personnel battle where your Dark Archon is present. One third of opponent’s personnel present (random selection, limit four) are immediately stunned.

Make Up Your Mind! (R)
It’s best not to fudge when you’re facing a cranky old general.

Nullifies Whose Authorization?, This Madness Must Stop!, or Decisive Action. OR Plays on an Away Team at a planet. That Away Team must attempt the mission, if possible.

Meditation (U)
After a hard day of battle, Templar warriors often head to the Citadel of Adun to rest and meditate before returning to the battlefield.

Plays to relocate your Zealots and High Templar from your Protoss Gateway to your Citadel of Adun OR from your Citadel of Adun to your Protoss Gateway (they are "stopped").

This is advantageous if you have two Gateways in play. Look out for Amanda Rogers, Kevin Uxbridge, and You Call Down the Thunder..., though, when using a strategy like this.

My Pride Killed Him (U)
DuGalle blamed himself for Stukov’s death, and for his own failure to keep control of the Zerg forces. Emotions overwhelmed him, and he took desperate action.

Place out-of-play your personnel just killed by your Revolver OR Mercy Kill. Score points, where X is equal to that personnel’s icons.

New Warrior (C)
Zerg hide within Overlords or in the ground to surprise enemies. Such methods are used to bring workers out of reserve.

Download one ship or one warrior or worker. OR Plays at start of battle to download to one of your Overlords at that location one warrior (two if opponent initiated the battle).

Nonsense! (C)
DuGalle scoffed at Duran’s suggestion that Stukov was a traitor. But a fully functional Psi Disrupter seemed to prove Duran right.

Plays if opponent’s Issue Secret Orders OR Treacherous Advice was just played or revealed. Suspends that card until countdown expires.

Optical Flare (U)
Originally designed as a form of battlefield illumination, this device is now used by medics of the UED to blind their adversaries.

Once per turn, your MEDICAL may play on one opposing personnel. That personnel cannot initiate battle and loses his first-listed skill.

Parasite (C)
Queens can spawn remora-like parasites that literally help the Zerg see through the eyes of the enemy.

Plays on any personnel at same location as your Queen. You may peek at all cards in same Away Team or crew at any time.

Personal Firearm (C)
Many warriors carry a personal firearm. Sometimes this is not obvious until the weapon is drawn to fire.

Plays to download one hand weapon (with a STRENGTH bonus of 1 or 2) to a battle just initiated.

Plague (R)
Defilers are capable of generating powerful toxins. These toxins are capable of causing enemies to lose strength.

Plays at any planet location where your Defiler is present. While in play, personnel on planet are quarantined and STRENGTH -3. (Not cumulative.)

Psionic Storm (U)
High Templar warriors are trained to focus psychic "ripples" into a raging storm of psionic energy that can literally crush the mind of a lesser species.

Plays at the start of a personnel battle where your High Templar is present. Stuns 3 OR mortally wounds one opposing personnel present (random selection).

Rapid Fire (C)
Many different rifles have a rapid-fire setting, allowing for use against more than one adversary.

Once per battle, if your SECURITY personnel just stunned his/her adversary where you have a rifle present, he/she may face next adversary.

Recall (U)
Recently, Protoss Arbiters have been equipped with a device capable of generating a temporary wormhole at other locations.

Plays on a location to allow any or all your ships here to relocate to one of your staffed Arbiter-class ships. If Arbiter at a planet location, your Away Team here may be relocated with the ships.

Reinforcements In Transit (C)
The UED’s reinforcements for the Augustgrad campaign came a bit later than was expected. Fortunately, they did come.

Plays on Reinforcements Have Arrived to suspend it. OR Plays to download Reinforcements Have Arrived. Place on incident; it cannot be used until after countdown.

Respond, D---it!!! (C)
Had Stukov not been so insistent, the treacherous Duran would have ignored an important message. He didn’t want to hear it anyway.

Downloads to hand, in place of your normal card play, one Incoming Message from outside the game if you have not yet played that Incoming Message this game.

Restoration (U)
In the UED, field surgery has become more efficient, and casualties due to that surgery are at an all-time low.

At same location as your MEDICAL, cures one personnel or ship of Ensnare, Lockdown, Plague, Parasite, Acid Splash, and Optical Flare.

Sacrifice Me! (U)
Infested Terrans, while helpful for their skills, are considered expendable by the Overmind. Many have the ability to act as moving plasma bombs.

Immediately discard one personnel (except a counterpart) that has core genus of Terran. Kills 3 opposing personnel present OR damages one planet facility present.

Spawn Broodlings (U)
Zerg Queens are able to "fertilize" organic matter with globs of spores, which quickly are hatched into Broodlings. The explosive birth of the Broodlings kills the "host".

Once per turn, play to discard one opposing personnel at same location as your Queen. Immediately download a Broodlings card there, ignoring Computer Crash.

Stasis Field (R)
Protoss Arbiters are able to temporarily strengthen discrete pockets of space-time, creating a massive field that can place a ship in stasis.

Plays on an opposing ship present with your Arbiter-class ship. That ship is placed in stasis until countdown expires. Personnel aboard are immune to Dead in Bed.

Stim Pack (R)
Terran Marines and Firebats are able to take doses of a neurostimulant. This stimulant can cause immediate benefits, but have detrimental long-term effects.

Plays on your Away Team; your Marines and Firebats there are STRENGTH +4 this turn.  Next turn, they are INTEGRITY -1.

Tank Shock (C)
The shockwave from an Arclite siege tank in Siege mode can kill anyone caught within.

Once per battle, if Siege Tanks and Siege Mode are in play, plays to mortally wound one Siege Tank pilot’s current adversary. Siege Tank pilot faces next adversary.

Thank God For Cold Fusion (R)
Cold fusion, while effective as a weapon, has a nice side benefit when used in a military operation involving Marines.

Downloads Cold Fusion Bomb where you have SECURITY and Physics (ignoring Computer Crash). OR excludes all Marines in one Away Team from next dilemma.

Hint: "Side benefit" = cold beverage. ;-)

The Password is..."Farnham" (C)
A civilian’s cooperation in helping Duran’s party access the computer system greatly assisted their attempts to find Vice Admiral Stukov.

Nullifies Security Door. OR Plays just before the attempt of a planet mission if you have 4 Computer Skill in Away Team; first dilemma encountered is discarded.

The Ship--Out Of Danger (R)
Effective commanders know how to prevent and to escape situations that would endanger the ship and crew, but they also know when to risk such a situation.
Plays on your ship with Leadership aboard; nullifies one Shut Off This Infernal Contraption!, Abandon Ship!, Gas Leak, or dilemma that says "Place on ship".

No, this is not a misprint. This card has no icon.

They’re Everywhere! (R)
The attempt to rescue Tassadar and Jim Raynor was treacherous. Zerg were encountered at every turn, hounding the rescuers and the rescued.

Downloads Surrounded (even from discard pile) to any planet mission. OR downloads 3 Zerg personnel (except personnel) to a planet with an opponent’s Away Team.

This Madness Must Stop! (U)
"Seeing my own brethren die in battle is more than I can take. Although I doom us all by doing so, I surrender myself to the judgment of the Conclave."

You may prevent any battle just initiated by discarding your personnel with Leadership OR Honor OR INTEGRITY >7 present.

This Means One Thing (C)
...invasion.

Plays to download, in place of your normal card play, one card with "war" in its title OR one v SECURITY personnel.

Transports Have Arrived (C)
"Wow. Does that mean they’re goin’ to send some backup for us?"

Once per turn, in place of one card draw, plays to report one transport OR ship with zero staffing icons to any location, with up to one v personnel aboard.

What Have They Done To You? (U)
When Jim Raynor saw that Kerrigan had been made into a Zerg, he exclaimed: "Dear God...Kerrigan, what have they done to you?"

Plays to immediately kill one of your personnel just captured, infested, or placed in stasis. OR Nullifies any card just reversed by another card.

You Call Down The Thunder... (U)
"...now reap the whirlwind." Favorite saying of a Ghost just before a nuclear strike.

Nullifies one icon card. OR Downloads a C-10 Canister Rifle and/or a Targeting Laser to your Ghost. OR Disables one ship present with your Ghost, Tal Shiar, Resistance, or Obsidian Order.

You Pig! (R)
"What? I haven’t even said anything to you yet!" "Yeah, but you were thinking it." "Oh, that’s right. You’re a telepath."

Plays to "stop" one Empathy personnel and one non-Empathy personnel of opposite gender at same location. OR Download (even from discard pile) one Love Interest to any Away Team.

You Are Free To Go (R)
Kerrigan was so surprised at Zeratul’s merciful "release" of his Matriarch, she let him go, as he would be forced to live with his decision for the rest of his life.

If you just used What Have They Done To You? OR Mercy Kill, you may release all captives your opponent holds (relocate to your facility).

You Wanna Piece Of Me, Boy? (R)
"If it weren’t for these d***** neural implants you’d be a smoking hole in the ground!" One had best avoid an angry Marine.

In personnel battle, one of your Marines present may mortally wound one personnel he just engaged (Marine faces next adversary, may also download Stim Pack). Marine is STRENGTH +4 rest of this turn.

You Were Warned (OTSD Premium)
Tassadar, Maradis, and their followers were disowned by the citizens of Aiur for their cause, and were attacked by “friendly” forces when they returned.
StarCraft_Universe.gif (907 bytes)
If your opponent just moved his ship(s) to the same location as one of yours, initiate a battle with that ship.  OR Nullifies Incoming Message OR another You Were Warned.

You’ll Have to Postpone Those Plans (R)
"Jim Raynor...What are you doing here?" "I’m pulling your a** out of the fire, Arcturus. Prepare for dimensional recall."

Nullifies "Citizen" Mengsk OR Impeachment. OR If your personnel was just captured or infested, prevents that capturing or infestation (you may relocate that personnel to your facility).

You’re Mad! (R)
One of Schezar’s cronies said this of Schezar’s plan to enslave a Cerebrate. The man didn’t live long enough to tell anyone else.

Plays to kill all non-Treachery, non-, aligned Honor personnel present with your non- Treachery x2 personnel.

Zasz Is Dead! (R)
"The Protoss have devised some new attack that renders our regenerative abilities useless and gives pause to the Overmind itself!"

If any Overmind or Cerebrate was just killed where you have any Dark Templar present, place it out-of-play. If an Overmind, all Zerg in play of same player also die. (Immune to Amanda Rogers.) OR Nullifies Reincarnation.
